Wednesday- Kyle

 Buenos Noches,

We just got back from an excellent and productive session with the leaders at Florida Norte. We worked with all the different ministries there to produce a set of reachable and measurable goals for every ministry. Matthew, with James’ help translating, really helped deliver a strong message about the importance of goals and setting aside time to discuss them within a certain ministry and with other ministry leaders. Matthew is also known as Pedro the Peacock. Let me tell you, that is one outrageous peacock. All the kids love how funny (crazy) and passionate he is!
It has been a joy to be here is Barbara who has such a love for the people of Bolivia and especially those at Florida Norte. She loves everyone here and it is so clearly visible.
Erika is a wonderful team member and she too has a place in her heart for the people here. She is an excellent translator. Even though I understand very little, I definitely see an understanding from those whom she talks to.
The last two days, Erika and I were able to run soccer clinic for the boys and girls in the church’s neighborhood. With donated soccer balls from Newburyport Youth Soccer Assocation, we were able to run some dribble and shooting drills, as well as play some full field games. Both days about 40 kids showed up and they all came back to the church for activities, songs, and crafts. It was a lot of fun playing and spending time with the kids at the soccer park and in the church.
I have really enjoyed witnessing their love for soccer. It has been a pleasure to work with Moises and James to further excite their enthusiasm for the beautiful sport. Tomorrow is our last day and we are hoping to have even more kids show up, to play larger games and to spread the Good Word.
Tonight I was even able to see one of my closest friends from my 2007 trip, Raul. He unfortunately has school during the soccer clinic but I am hoping to visit with him, his brother Ariel, and their cousin Alejandro on Sunday.
God has been so good on this trip and I look forward to the many wonders He will continue to work here in Bolivia,

Kyle
